I've attempted to mount Windows on a USB drive for my SSD, but I'm facing some issues. It seems like Microsoft's setup isn't working properly again. This is frustrating because my 16GB USB is larger than expected, it was fully formatted, and now it's corrupted. The drive is formatted with FAT32, but I can't open it. What should I do next?

Yeah, it’s not helping. I need just one page and it keeps saying delete folders like $WINDOWS.~BT and $WINDOWS.~Ws. I can’t reach them. That’s about it. I’m trying to redownload the creation thing again—it’s completely new now. The only other idea is to pick the USB option, download the ISO, and burn it to a USB drive. Last time that broke my USB, but this time it worked.

Start by accessing Administrative Tools, then Computer Management, Storage section, and Disk Management. Use these steps to reformat your USB drive. Run the tool once more and check if the issue persists or if it was an isolated occurrence.

Consider switching to another flash drive and utilize the media creation tool for generating a bootable USB.

Focus on using the actual .ISO file and mount it with Rufus. Since Microsoft doesn’t share easily, run an add-on in your browser that changes the user agent settings—this helps websites recognize your browser correctly. I’m using User Agent Switcher for Firefox and there are three options for Chrome. Try a different browser or OS if needed, like Safari on macOS or Windows Vista/XP. Refresh the page and look for a direct download link for the .ISO file.
