This issue is occurring on my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. I recall performing system checks and updates in late August before school began, with only two updates completed successfully. Recently, while reviewing system updates, I saw a long list of pending installs. I chose the "update all" option and after a short time, most updates showed an "Install Error." Once some updates finished and the device restarted, my second monitor lost connection.

Using CMD in admin mode and running sfc /scannow did not reveal any integrity issues. Malwarebytes also reported no threats.

I attempted the following steps:
- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
I also tried using the Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO), but it failed to mount, displaying the error: "Sorry there was a problem mounting the file." I have attached images of these errors for reference.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I would really prefer to keep the updates unchanged, it occurred during a fresh installation of the operating system on a new device, regardless of what I did. The updates consistently failed. I left everything as it was, then the OS updated automatically in the background.

Given the situation where errors appear in Device Manager, I would recreate the bootable USB installer for Windows 11 and install the OS without internet access. After the installation is finished, I would run the drivers through an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator—using drivers from Lenovo's support site. Once all relevant drivers are installed, connect to the internet and allow the OS to update itself.

Consider using a media creation tool from a flash drive to fix Windows or reinstall it entirely. This approach helps you avoid resetting the laptop, which is important since you have many crucial files.

Check the update log for possible matches.
See if the computer can start in Safe Mode?
At least get it operational to save those crucial files.

The update history appears as expected. Some updates passed through, while others were blocked. I managed to boot into safe mode and executed DDU. Attempting to reinstall Nvidia drivers resulted in a failure message. Additionally, installing the Windows 11 media creation tool on a flash drive isn't working—my laptop doesn't recognize it, and it isn't listed in any system manager tools.

Recorded issues with KB5044285...
Begin with a light cleanup on the laptop.
Initially, use the built-in Windows troubleshooters to check for solutions.
Next, execute "dism" and "sfc /scannow".
Refer to the provided links for guidance:

Assuming the problem stems from missing or corrupt files, proceed with manual removal and reinstallation of all applications and drivers. Avoid third-party tools.
Make sure any drivers are obtained directly from the manufacturer's official site. Exercise caution—just because a name appears in the URL or path doesn't guarantee it's the genuine source.

I attempted to execute all those commands with admin privileges, but none detected any problems. When I used sfc /scannow in the Startup Settings menu, it reported finding corrupt files and said it would fix them after rebooting. I restarted the PC and tried updating and installing drivers again, yet the issues persisted.

I also tried booting from a flash drive and after repair attempts, received the message "Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC." Although it isn’t a startup-related error, I thought it might help to share the log if it could offer any clues.
