Hello everyone, I recently replaced the main HDD on my 2012 R2 server using a cloning tool called "Acronis True Image WD Edition." Unfortunately, the process went wrong and my partitions are all corrupted, including the System Reserved area. The old drive was divided into three parts: System Reserved, OS, and Storage. I managed to boot from the new drive while the old one remained connected, but deleting the System Reserved partition revealed that Windows was actually using the one on the new drive instead. I attempted a startup repair, but it failed. My main issue seems to be that the partition letter assignments are set as C for System Reserved and D for the primary OS partition. After using Diskpart extensively, even that tool proved ineffective in recovery mode. No matter what adjustments I make—changing letters, attributes, activating partitions—I always lose everything on reboot. I’m convinced the system will start working once the drive letter settings are corrected. Any suggestions? Thanks.
