I'm experiencing an unusual problem where my PC won't start with two RAM modules installed. I have a 410m-pro MSI motherboard with an Intel 9th Gen processor and two 8GB HyperX Fury cards, all using the same speed and voltage for over a year. Recently, it just stopped booting. After checking the case, the debug LED was continuously looping from the CPU to the DRAM. I removed one of the RAM kits (A1) and it passed the CPU and DRAM checks, then turned off. Then I tried removing B1 while keeping A1 on, but it still looped between CPU and DRAM, flashing briefly on the CPU for half a second and twice on the DRAM, repeating the cycle. I reset the CMOS and reinserted the CPU, which worked fine with one RAM module on B1, but the CPU generated extreme heat—around 100°C during boot and only about 70°C under BIOS. When I powered off the PC, it returned to the same issue.
When you turn off turbo boost, everything runs smoothly even in demanding games like Warzone. I tested both cooling systems and found the same results. It seems the problem might be with the motherboard—there are bent pins on the socket, which I replaced but still have concerns about RAM and overheating. Other suggestions point to power supply or motherboard issues as well.
Bent pins might lead to boot and RAM issues, though the system functioned properly before. Unless you recently altered anything, it seems unlikely to be the cause.
This scenario seems unusual—no one typically mentions CPU temperature rising to 100 degrees from bending pins. It’s possible, though unlikely, but it could happen if the cooling system fails. More likely, the heat sink isn’t properly attached or the fan isn’t working.
