Hi All,
Hope you understand how to assist in keeping my mind clear.
Last night I chose to upgrade from a 3700x to a 5800x3D. My current setup is a gigabyte aorus elite motherboard that needed a BIOS update to run with this CPU. After updating via USB, there was no display, and after two hours I performed the Q flash and it finally booted. Yay! No.
Now I have the new CPU installed, everything seems fine from a component standpoint, but I still encounter BSODs - Bad pool caller. It might occur after 5 minutes or even when idle. Could anyone explain why this is happening?
I've tried the following steps:
BIOS Update via Q Flash +
Reset windows (kept files intact) – no improvement
Reset windows completed, all drives cleaned
Checked for loose hardware, re-seated RAM, everything looks good.
I'm really puzzled and would appreciate any suggestions.
Specs: Ryzen 5800x3d, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Gigabyte Aorus x570 elite, RTX 3060ti - Gigabyte

BAD_POOL_CALLER BSODs are uncommon. They generally stem from faulty CPU setups, among other issues. A simple online search might uncover solutions to consider.

It works well with the BIOS update, which functioned properly as far as I understand. I'll check again and explore other options. Thanks
