Error encountered during internal video scheduler after cleaning and applying new thermal paste.
Hi all,
I own an MSI Laptop - the MSI GS-43vr. Recently, after cleaning out all the dust and reapplying Artic Silver 5, I sometimes experience a BSOD of death when playing games due to the error: Internal video scheduler error. Could this be because thermal paste is touching the motherboard? Might there be a bent pin on the motherboard? Any suggestions? Should I try using a non-conductive thermal paste instead? Thanks!
Have you attempted to reinstall your GPU drivers? Also, verify that your laptop's BIOS is current. Additionally, check if you accidentally damaged any parts during disassembly and reassembly. Did you also swap out the thermal pads for thermal paste? We would appreciate some photos to illustrate how the thermal paste was applied.
I also attempted to reinstall GPU drivers and updated my BIOS. I encountered another issue with a BSOD: ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY. It seems I didn’t make any changes, and I didn’t replace the thermal pads.
Here’s a picture of the thermal paste I used after reapplying it: https://ibb.co/yqt88Rg
I’m curious about cleaning it without damaging the pins on the CPU back.
