This setup has been performing reliably over time. It boots into Windows smoothly, handles OS installation without issues, and even supports overclocking. The main hiccup appears during OS installation from scratch—especially with XP. After loading basic drivers, the system waits for you to press Enter before starting, then hangs indefinitely without progress. This behavior is consistent across different drives or CPU usage levels. Given it's an older board, I suspect a BIOS-related issue might be at play. Since you have a BIOS programmer, you can update it if needed. Let me know your thoughts!
Are you working with an IDE or SATA interface? Based on what I’ve seen, the problem likely came from a faulty cable, incorrect disk copy, or a malfunctioning DVD/CD player. It’s an intriguing situation. I’m hoping for a solution soon!
I've tested various drives, cables, and installation media across multiple OS versions. The process remains consistent each time. ATM—installing the OS onto a SATA SSD from a SATA DVD drive.
I'll attempt it once I have a thumb drive ready, but it should work with either XP or Windows 7. I'm uncertain about the board's compatibility with thumb drive setups—only testing will tell.
