I know someone who had this problem as well, he just waited a day and then it worked. You could try to open a R* support ticket and wait for a response there.

I’m here to clarify this for you. I’m the individual TehMiik mentioned, and I confirm everything. I purchased the key from Amazon and it functioned correctly at first. After cleaning up my PC, it started requesting my product key again—though it indicated the key had already been used.
