You recently purchased this new desktop but have encountered frequent crashes within 5 to 20 minutes of playing any game. The issues occur across Steam games, websites, and Minecraft, with the same error message appearing: "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address (Sometimes it changes)." It's frustrating because performance seems normal otherwise, and your PC and GPU temperatures are within acceptable ranges. I’m not very familiar with computer troubleshooting, which is making this situation really stressful.

I'm facing the same issue again. I shared about it just a few hours ago. It's possible reseating all my DIMMs fixed it. Memory tests ran smoothly, but I still encounter access violation errors in games. I haven't completed full testing yet to be sure, though I managed to play a game for more than 30 minutes without problems—only getting 5 before.

A DIMM is a small slot in a computer case that holds RAM modules.

Check your RAM modules. Try removing them and reinserting them securely. They should engage tightly. The ones that seemed properly placed earlier might not have been.

No issues detected, just confirming access permissions. Let me know if you need further assistance!

I haven't made any changes yet, and I'm not sure it's fully resolved until I can get a few more error-free hours.

I've been playing for about 30 minutes now, which is great. I'm monitoring my GPU and memory usage through the task manager. I plan to try a more demanding program to test stability.

Just experienced another crash after roughly three minutes in The Witcher 3. Managed around fifteen minutes into Horizon Zero Dawn, but there’s still something off.

It seems connected to larger strategic matters.

Keep failing. The reason isn't clear.
