I configured an openvpn server on my router because I need access to a network storage server from anywhere. My laptop has a 256GB SSD, and using a network attached drive makes logging in easier. On mobile hotspot the file copy worked, but on school Wi-Fi it failed. I wondered if the network settings were blocking VPN connections while allowing file transfers over them. I plan to check this again on Monday and bring the error details. It was a bit complicated, about four lines long. I might need to force traffic to work, though I’m not sure it would affect certificate exports yet.

Try another network, as many schools restrict much content. The issue would be great.

It functions via my mobile hotspot. The home network seems unreliable since it connects automatically whether on home Wi-Fi or VPN. I tried it with another network and it worked too. I haven’t searched online for the issue, so perhaps I should hold off until Monday.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your school network. Would you like to know more about troubleshooting steps or contacting support?

They permit VPN connections, yet restrict file transfers through that service because it uses encryption.

Are you confident the VPN functions completely as intended? Additionally, today's advanced firewalls are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

If it didn't function properly, I wouldn't be able to link to it or complete the file transfer across two separate networks. It might be the firewall they're using. If forced, I'd need to bypass all traffic restrictions.
