Hello, I purchased the Asus RTX 4070 Super Evo OC for myself. Initially, I used the provided power cable and kept experiencing BSOD errors. Later, switching to the PSU cable didn’t resolve the issue, and even after removing the GPU, the system still crashes with the same error. When I inserted my PIN, it triggered a Critical Process Died message again. My PC functioned normally with integrated graphics before this upgrade, but now it won’t boot or log in at all.

Are crashes triggered in Safe Mode? Have certain GPUs been used before? If unsure, consider using Guru3D DDU: "Display Driver Uninstaller." Determine whether the issue stems from software or a new hardware problem. Begin by testing Safe Mode, removing recent updates, running DDU, and attempting to revert changes. This method works well with a systematic approach. For a clean start, perform a fresh Windows installation without wiping the system—this helps isolate whether the problem lies in your existing setup or a driver conflict. You might also test an NVIDIA driver on this setup.
Critical_Process_Died isn't typical for GPU issues. This indicates a crucial Windows service stopped unexpectedly, suggesting a WD firmware problem if your SSD hasn't been updated yet. It's occurred since Windows 11 24H2, so you're likely behind schedule. If the issue persists, check C:\Windows\Minidump for any files. Move the folder to Downloads and compress it before posting. Remember to follow instructions carefully as Windows doesn't allow file changes there.
I tried to verify the file location, but the Minidump folder isn’t present. In Event Viewer, the error indicates it couldn’t generate the minidump.
