Hey everyone, I’m having trouble adjusting the custom resolution on my 1440p monitor using AMD Adrenalin. The G.Pixel Clock error appears to be showing up, and changing the refresh rate hasn’t resolved it. This isn’t a problem with my 1080p setup, which is a bit puzzling. Here’s what I have:

Monitors:
- LG UltraGear 27GP850P (1440p)
- ASUS ROG PG258Q (1080p)

PC Specifications:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz
- 8-core processor
- €467.90 (Amazon Netherlands)
- Cooler: Deepcool AK620 (68.99 CFM)
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5
- RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL32
- Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME
- Graphics: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W, 80+ Gold
- Fans: Two ARCTIC P12 56.3 CFM fans

It seems the setup is complete, but the resolution issue persists. No luck with tweaks, and it’s not happening on my lower-resolution monitor either. Any tips?

You could be helping a lot. The default manual timing standard differs from CVT in how it manages timing signals. The G.Pixel Clock issue might still cause problems even after saving, so you may need to address that separately. Your goal of using a custom resolution is great—just keep an eye on the red error.

It seems the latest driver update may have caused issues, but the fix should appear in the upcoming beta versions available for installation, around 23.10. Something.

Generally, when you adjust custom resolution or refresh rate, those settings need matching timing. Keeping Manual mode means changes aren't saved properly, causing the compatibility warning. Switching to CVT (Coordinated Video Timing) lets timing auto-adjust according to its own rules. If you're using a DP cable, the red error might not apply since it doesn't match HDMI 2.0 standards.

Hello. I have the same issue... I can't use the full CVT, only the reduced version... Is that okay or? Thanks Big Grin
