You're facing an issue where your Samsung Evo 500 GB SSD isn't being recognized by your computer. It shows "not initialized and unknown" and can't find the drive. Since you previously used it as an external SSD, there might be residual data or a damaged partition. You could try formatting the drive, checking for physical damage, or using a bootable recovery tool to restore it. If you want to keep your data, backing up before attempting repairs would be wise.

Storage devices: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... (list capacities only)
Picture request: Upload your disk management screen image now.
On Windows 10/11: Right-click the Start menu, find Disk Management, and locate it in the list.

You're dealing with a 500 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe drive and a charging device issue. Try troubleshooting the connection or firmware update first.

Place the device inside the external casing and test again. It might indicate an internal SATA issue, even though the data cable appears functional, but power isn’t reaching the drive.

It prevents recovery or cleanup since the system claims the disk isn't initialized. Initializing it again failed with a fatal hardware error.
