I removed the drive and it didn’t make a difference. My boot drive remains a SATA SSD. If I save and exit the BIOS, will it harm the CPU or other parts? Is this a bad move? It seems there’s an issue with the motherboard sensors. There are ways to work around it by instructing the system to ignore CPU voltage in the BIOS monitoring area. Consider trying a different PSU, though I'm not sure that's the problem. It might be that the rear standoff was touching the case at the back of the board—though it shouldn't really matter since it just provides ground to that hole. I've seen the ignore option, but you decide. It seems the motherboard may have failed after a BIOS flash; if you've reset them, there should be no remaining settings left. I'd also reinsert the battery, detach the PSU cable from the PSU, remove the 24-pin connector from the PSU, and then leave it for about 10 minutes before turning on the power switch a few times. After that, reconnect everything except the battery and see what happens.
I identified the issue as the standoff I had placed on the back, which had a washer with a burr that scratched the board's coating and touched the traces. It functioned properly after removal, so I applied a conformal coating over the damaged area and swapped the washer for a plastic one. It now works perfectly again—thank you all for your assistance!
