Hey there! I bought this new PC recently and it’s performing well. I ran some games that didn’t work on my old machine, so I tried this new one. I started with GTA IV and everything installed smoothly. Then I hit an error—Release Date Check Failure. It didn’t verify the release date, so I had to turn it on manually. Since I don’t have a digital copy, I activated it by hand. After that, a pop-up confirmed it was active, but when I reopened the game, the same error appeared again. I searched online and found many users with the same problem. The fix came when I reset the date to around January 2014. Now, when I try to launch GTA IV again, it shows it’s stopped working. Could something be causing this issue? It’s a brand new PC, only been using it about three hours. It runs Windows 8.1 with an i3 processor, 3.70Ghz clock, Nvidia 2GB card, and 4GB RAM.

It's the Nvidia GeForce 705 with 2GB DDR3 RAM. That's the accurate information.

That's a terrible GPU choice.
