Hi, I'm working on fixing my bio but keep getting the bios ID check error. I thought I had a different issue, but realized it's actually because my motherboard is rev 10.11 instead of another revision. Check the support page for details. Updated by bezza on Nov 24, 2023.

This setup isn't part of a ready-made system. Most prebuilt PCs have their own special BIOS that can only be changed by the original maker, even though the board claims it's standard.

It's not. It's his own DIY which one? If your computer was working as intended no need to to update the bios

Consider trying another BIOS version. It’s possible to access BIOS even if you can’t install it.

I've tested two variations from the same source, but the process hasn't begun.

I managed to get it running, so I’m going to admit it’s because I dislike the name "Gigabites" with a vengeance.

I installed the Gigabit Elite V Rev 1 rather than the Gigabit Elite AX Rev One.
