I also believed I had the DVD available, but it seems it wasn't included. I have the USB prepared and the PC is starting an installation window without NVMe installed. Will it copy to another drive or work directly from the stick? I want to avoid losing data on any other drives if possible.

The Windows installer will place the installation on a disk. While you can put Windows on a USB stick, support was discontinued long ago and was originally meant for corporate use. Linux can be launched directly from a USB drive.
