The RMA board I received through a return process is consistently showing D0 regardless of CPU model. I used my friend’s system—equipped with a 3600, Zotac GTX 970, and a 16GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM stick—to confirm its reliability. My own 3600 also worked once, but it reset to D0 afterward. On forums, I’m struggling to upload the standoff image. So far, I’ve done: reseating RAM and CPU, clearing CMOS, flashing multiple BIOS versions (the board supports older ones), testing with a different CPU, mixing RAM types, and even replacing the cooler. Recently ASRock sent me a prepaid shipping label, but FedEx only offered ground shipping and refused international options. I’ve attached photos of the damage I observed upon receiving the board. Background: I purchased an X570 Taichi last April for my birthday, kept it unused until September-October when prices dropped. One day during a Netflix stream, my CPU reported temperatures between 70-96°C. I disassembled the system to check if the AIO pump failed and needed replacement. My friend helped update the BIOS, but after installing his stock cooler onto mine for a quick boot and new BIOS, the system still wouldn’t power on. I contacted ASRock and followed their RMA steps; they returned the unit on Wednesday. During inspection, I noticed the screws securing the M.2 heatshield were loose, and removing it exposed the standoff—its anchor was torn off. I sent a picture to ASRock support without receiving a response yet. I’m now attempting to install my CPU, GTX 970, and testing again. The D0 issue persists. I’ve tried different RAM sticks in each slot, mixed CPUs, and even flashed newer BIOS versions online, but the problem remains.
It seems the item may have been harmed during shipping or testing. Please return it for a replacement.
It hasn't been shared with or without a GPU or either of the memory kits you own. The only post was with your friend's 5600g, and it hasn't happened since then. I'm not planning to send back another faulty board unless I realize I should have received it.
It's quite annoying tbh, why send out a board in that condition if you weren't going to test and make sure it's working completely first. Thing could be damaged in other ways and it fried my cpu and they wouldn't replace it for sending out a faulty board.
This situation is pretty frustrating. They gave me a preapproved label for FedEx ground shipping in the US, but I can't use it to send the board back because I'm from another country. It seems they're not really trying to assist. I had to pay to return a faulty board, and they didn't even try to send me a working one. Maybe I won't recommend them anymore since their boards might not be worth the effort.
