Hey everyone, I'm trying to understand what's going on with my ROG Strix B550-F. I've got a R7 5800x and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RAM. Sometimes I see blue screens or random restarts—seems like timing is off, maybe during idle, gaming, or even while watching YouTube. I checked the event logs and noticed these WHEA-Logger errors about every 20 seconds: a hardware error correction, reported by the processor, with details pointing to unknown issues.
About a month ago I switched from an Aorus B550 Elite to this Strix. The VRMs were making weird noise on the Aorus, so I didn't do a reformat. I thought that might have fixed it. I did reformat and updated the BIOS from 2003 to 2006, but the problem still exists. I also noticed my Noctua NH-U12A runs at 3200, but tops out around 20-30 at idle—most games settle in the mid-50s to 60s. The only fix seems to be manually adjusting the RAM speed from 3200 to 3133. It's a bit slow (66MHz) and doesn't really hurt performance much, but it bothers me.
I don’t have the Corsair model number listed on the board’s QVL. There are plenty of SK Hynix Corsair 3200 DDR4 units available, but my specific one (CMK32GX4M2B3200C16) isn't. I bought it because it was available for my Aorus board. Since I haven’t had a BSOD or reboot after reformatting, I don’t have a .dmp file to share.
