I experienced a blue screen while streaming on YouTube and launching modded Minecraft. My computer became unresponsive and displayed a stopcode registry error. After powering it off and on again, the issue persisted with it cycling on and off. It attempted self-diagnosis and repair but failed, leading me to seek help. I tried using the command prompt with commands like "chkdsk /f /r" but encountered problems since all files were NTFS and write-protected. A reset also didn’t resolve the problem. Now I’m reaching out to forums for guidance. I can’t access my dump files, though I installed Ubuntu and found Windows/Minidump files that appear empty. If anyone knows where to locate the dumps on Ubuntu, it would be helpful. My system details are: Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu installed via USB for recovery, purchased in December 2021. Hardware includes a Ryzen 7 3700X with Nvidia GTX745 GPU, Asus ROG Strix B550-F motherboard, and an Asus ROG Strix 550W power supply. RAM is Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB. Storage consists of a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2 drive.

Prepare Windows 10 installation media on a flash drive. Adjust boot priority in BIOS/UEFI. Enter your computer's settings, find the "Boot" section, set the USB drive as the first boot device. Confirm changes and exit. Launch Windows Setup upon restart. Customize language, time, currency, and keyboard settings. Move to next step. Choose Install Now for a fresh setup or Repair Your Computer if you need fixes. Try system restore first—it’s the simplest method. Pick an earlier restore point and wait for it to finish; if it doesn’t work, let me know for further help.

Thank you @josefah. When I chose System Restore, a warning appeared saying I needed to pick a specific Windows version before proceeding. I had to restart the machine, choose an operating system, and then activate System Restore. Edited December 6, 2023 by AirFromMyLung

Navigate to the advanced settings, open the command prompt, type "diskpart" and hit enter. Then execute "list disks" and press enter. You should see a list of all your physical disks.

With only 1024kb available, the problem is that your storage device is full. Check the Ubuntu USB to examine the files and identify what’s consuming the space.

It's hard to fix issues without looking at the screen. Consider clearing the files and restarting the program.
