Error code BSOF indicating a page fault in non-paged area.
Hello - I experienced a Blue Screen of Death due to page fault in non-paged area. I was frantically playing MSFS when it crashed, just 5 minutes before landing. I had multiple tabs open, such as 5 Twitch pages, using around 70% to 80% of my RAM. I completed a memory diagnostic test and it passed, so something must be wrong.
Don't launch Edge. I'd perform a disk check on the drives just in case any are problematic. And run sfc /scannow in admin mode using the CMD window.
You can obtain bluescreenview from the provided link (https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html). It's a useful resource for identifying BSOD stop codes. The page_fault_in_nonpaged_area code often points to RAM issues or failing drives, though in your scenario it seems unlikely you're using a 32GB page file. Review the S.M.A.R.T data with crystal disk information—my thought is a corrupted Windows update. Microsoft tends to release updates with unexpected problems. Examine the stop code and affected drive. Try disabling PageFile/VirtualMemory in Windows updates to see if it resolves the issue (this is just a temporary fix).
Disable the pagefile or virtual memory and check the results. If it works, adjust the settings to write on the C drive (ensure it's a healthy drive).
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.
