In the last couple of months my computer has been shutting down unexpectedly, beginning after I purchased my 3050. Initially everything worked perfectly with no overheating or problems, but then shutdowns started. I replaced the power supply thinking it would solve the problem and it worked for a few weeks. After researching, I discovered the issue might be related to a kernel power error 41 (63). Some forums suggested it could be software-related, as checking with dskskn and sfc showed corrupted files that were resolved. The problem returned after a while. I replaced the RAM and GPU, but the PC turned off the following day. I suspect a hardware fault or another component might be involved. If anyone has suggestions, please share them.

Kernel Power 41 simply indicates an unexpected shutdown. Unless you were unaware of the crash or shutdown, it holds no significance. Corrupted files usually trigger bluescreens instead of BSODs. I’d re-seat all components to ensure stability, except the CPU which may need re-pasting after removing the cooler. Make sure all cables and devices are secure. You might also look for dump files at C:\Windows\Minidump if the GPU is failing and preventing a clear error message.

The poster you mentioned is correct. Kernel Power 41 indicates a failure during startup, often due to improper shutdown or issues while the PC is running. Check Event Viewer for related errors around the time of the problem. In your case, a faulty GPU triggered the error, even though the processor reported it. If replacing the PSU didn’t help, the hardware may be defective. Consider swapping in a spare GPU to test and identify the actual cause.

Thank you for bringing those points up. I noticed two issues here—one related to the Google update service not starting properly, and another about the energy server service ending unexpectedly. I’m not sure if these are connected to my problem, but I’ll keep an eye on them.

It doesn't appear anything is missing in my minidump folder. I'll attempt to re-seat the cables and check for changes. One observation is that the PC shuts down more quickly after turning it back on following the crash.

QueenCreek belongs to Intel's utility suite. It may be the Intel Driver Update Utility or the Intel Energy Checker. You might want to uninstall them if needed.

Updated my GPU to the original one. I’ll check again later; if it repeats, I’ll blame the motherboard or something outside.

It's been three days since the PC shut down a few times, mostly on the first day. After that, everything seems fine except for the recent issue. I think it got resolved, and I'm looking forward to getting a new GPU soon. Thanks for your help!
