A critical hardware malfunction has been detected.
Noted by component: Processor Core
Issue Origin: Machine Check Exception
Type of Error: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 0
Whenever I play R6s at both dirextx and vulkan, my PC restarts itself automatically. In other games, especially the one called Last Train Home, it runs very heavily on CPU with temperatures reaching 95°C (definitely problematic). No issues have occurred otherwise.
Specification:
MSI B450 A-Pro max
Ryzen 5 5600
Memory: 2x8 (KLEVV DDR4 BOLT X Series PC25600 3200MHz Dual Channel 16GB)
RX 6600
PSU: nzxt C550
Is this related to a home voltage issue or another factor?
I’m concerned this might be caused by the CPU.

For better cooling when things get hot, hardware errors may appear. If you're not seeing Windows error messages, try restarting. Follow option one on the provided link and then proceed with the steps below: Create a small memory dump during a BSOD using Windows Minidump. Open File Explorer, go to C:\Windows\Minidump, move the files to your Desktop. Avoid using Winzip; use Windows' built-in feature instead. Save the files on your Desktop, then right-click and choose 'Send to' – Compressed folder. Upload the archive to the cloud (OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) and share the link for review.

no BSOD, just restart. i already plan to buy a new cooler, anyway i don’t notice the temperature while playing r6s, so i can’t measure it while playing that game

You can configure logging in hwinfo which will generate a spreadsheet of all sensor records during the time it is logging - https://leo-holanda.github.io/logcharts.io/guide.html Info - How to use HWINFO to track Sensor values on Ryzen Download HWINFO - https://www.hwinfo.com/download/ when you open the app, select the option to show sensors only, click run in the next window, then click the gear icon at the bottom right to access settings. On the General tab, adjust the polling period to 500 and click the set button... forums. It could also be the PSU.

When the CPU hits 95 C, I anticipate a drop in performance, though it won’t shut down or restart. Could you confirm if any parts are being overclocked? The 5600 can handle memory speeds up to 3200 without issues, but for troubleshooting, ensure XMP/DOCP settings are disabled in the BIOS. Concerning cooling, it seems a mesh or airflow case would be more effective than swapping the CPU cooler. If your case is a hot box, simply moving warm air around won’t solve the problem—additional components also need attention.

I found the issue, it's the game itself... I checked Ubisoft R6s and Division 2 already had similar problems. Trying a lower graphics setting didn't always fix the problem—sometimes I have to restart my PC and enter the error code. I can play other games without issues for 1-2 hours. Maybe I should uninstall this game soon.

Fair but in my case when I replaced the PC case with a new one, the CPU temperatures fell from 95 to 82 degrees. This happened with an ambient temperature near 30 degrees. High idle temps suggest a hot case; with the original cooler I usually see temps about 10–12 degrees above ambient, and during games the CPU reaches around 55 degrees. However, in my home office it’s only 13 degrees.
