On my PC during a certain game, I encountered an issue when loading it, displaying the error code 0xc0ea0001. Searching online, a Microsoft support page suggested stopping the License Manager in CMD, which resolved the problem. Later, it occurred again, so I checked Reddit and found many recommendations about shutting down the Gaming Service under services.mse (https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comme...0xc0ea0001). After doing this, the Xbox app loaded more slowly but eventually worked properly. Since then, I haven’t faced further issues on that PC.

Now it’s happening on another PC, which makes me worried about stopping the Gaming Service again—there are two services (local and user system). Did I make a mistake by shutting them down? Can I stop both at once, and will they start working again when triggered? I haven’t deleted anything, just stopped them.

Any advice would be very useful. Also, is anyone else experiencing this problem?

some games might not function properly when it is stopped, so if you encounter any issues, just turn it back on again.

some games might not function properly when it is stopped, so if you encounter any issues, simply re-enable it. a real solution exists.

Thank you for your message. I should have mentioned stopping the service, but it automatically restarted afterward. Appreciate the link and the information—it's really useful.
