Error code 0d appears in ROG Crosshair Vii Extreme.
Back in April I purchased all my computer components on Amazon and everything worked smoothly for a month. Then unexpectedly, my PC stopped working one night, showing error code 0d. When I took it to a local store they found the motherboard faulty. After returning the old board via RMA, the replacement arrived and the same problem occurred. Does anyone know if this is related to the CPU or RAM?
That's an unusual setting. Did you attempt to reset the CMOS (removing battery for 5 minutes, power supply disconnected)? If correct, I recall it appeared on your Crosshair VII hero. Which GPU are you running? Your setup typically triggered this only when the display wasn't recognized.
I believe a 0D CPU isn't good, right? EDIT: Intended to refer to RAM... but it might still be about the CPU if the memory controller is affected.
If you haven't tried, test one stick of RAM at a time to check for changes. Or use RAM that works with you if you have spare that matches. Beyond that, your description suggests the CPU might be the issue. In short, the processor manages how RAM functions—speed, timing, etc.—and is built into today’s chips while older ones had external memory controllers on the board.
I've tried one RAM stick at a time and the error code remains 0d. Thanks for checking, I hope this resolves the issue.
