Error: Can't get into Remote Desktop because of a changed port.
I have a dedicated server from Hetzner with Windows 10 on it. I changed my port number to 3357 inside the registry, added the port for both incoming and outgoing traffic, and followed this tutorial step-by-step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU-gzGetk1s After restarting the server, I can no longer connect. I even allowed all incoming rules in Hetzner, but it still won't work. Is there a way to undo these changes or just start fresh?
I changed my port number 3357 in the registry, added both inbound and outbound rules, and I did it for a reason. What were those reasons? Why did I need to make these changes? What problems were stopping me before I started this step? Editing the registry is dangerous and should only happen when you have lots of documentation or info from a trusted source. Plus, I made copies of my system and registry file right before making any changes. So now, if you try to go back and undo those changes, you won't be able to do it - isn't that right? A fresh start might be the only way out, but figuring that out early is a bit too soon. You need to explain more about what was happening or give examples so someone else could see an issue and suggest fixes. They could help troubleshoot the problem or find a solution for you.
