Error: BIOS not recognized during installation.
Hello, I attempted to update the boot logo image on my Asus Pro-H510M-C motherboard. I followed the provided instructions and everything appeared to function correctly. I confirmed the image size matched the original, but encountered an error when trying to flash the modified BIOS file. I used both the original .CAP file and the version generated by BIOSRenamer, as shown in the image. Could you offer any suggestions?
There seems to be an issue with the UEFI Tool generating a .CAP file that the motherboard cannot process. Even a standard .CAP opened and saved by the tool ends up being unusable. I’m not aware of any other similar program to use. EDIT: Discovered an Asus tool called LogoFlash, but it didn’t work well either. See attached screenshot. Updated April 3, 2023 by Ozric. Added more info.
I found a solution using this tool: https://protectli.com/kb/how-to-customiz...?intsrc=eu. It worked perfectly on the first attempt, so I suggest trying it for anyone looking to customize their computer's splash screen.
