II would greatly value a correction. Feel free to share ideas, guidance, or anything else you think of. Thanks.

Have you explored the repair feature in the origin tool?

I attempted fixes like repairing the game cache and inspecting System32 and Syswow64. It’s working properly. I also reinstalled various updates—Bf4, Visual C++, DX—and even the Nvidia driver. After uninstalling Bf4, removing all remnants, I’m waiting to see how it performs in a few hours or until the download completes.

Have you checked this solution? Go to your BF4 directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4), go into the _Installer\VC\vc2012Update3\redist folder, and run vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.ex. Let me know if it works.

I attempted that though I changed the wording in the previous message. I mentioned Visual C++ as the beginning of the name, but your version is correct. I went into the BF4 folder and installed the software, then tried the Microsoft version and a link shared in another post that was updated to version 4. I’m not sure why this happens suddenly and works fine. What do you call it when an app or device meets all specifications but still doesn’t function properly? Possibly an anomaly. I’m not linking to anything related to BF4... That’s the short summary so far.

Almost done with the 6th DLC. Regardless, the version you must use to start the game is probably on your PC, though I still had to visit the Metro Last light folder to locate vcredist 2010 x64.
