Hello! Over the past few years I've experienced occasional PC issues, but lately they've grown more consistent. When I power on after a restart, it takes about 10 to 20 seconds before the system freezes with the error code whea_uncorrectable_error. After the crash, I usually don't encounter any problems, though it happens occasionally. The code suggests a hardware problem. I've checked my setup: I have four RAM sticks, and I've tested using just two at a time. The first attempt worked for two days, which was a big improvement. After that, the issue returned and has persisted. I ran Memtest overnight without any problems, performed several hard drive tests, but found no errors. In Event Viewer the error reads: "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation." I've tried making the dump files smaller, but nothing helped. I also ran a Windows format, but it didn't make a difference. My system specs are: Intel 6800k, Asus X99 SLI, Vengeance LPX 32GB 3200MHz, EVGA GTX1080, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 (plus random SSDs), EVGA Supernova 750W G2, Windows 10. I'm feeling quite confused and would really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Could this be related to a motherboard issue? If so, what should I do first? Thanks!

Consider the installation date and available drivers. The latest DCH driver is from August 9, 2022, while an older standard driver dates back to March 17, 2021. Driver type could affect compatibility and performance.

Driver type doesn't seem important. Please try May12. Also, please upload the dump files to C:\Windows\Minidump.

I'll attempt using the drivers from May 12 and follow up later. I don't have a file named Minidump in my Windows directory, possibly linked to the error in Event Viewer: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation?

The garbage window version that fails to recognize even the most unstable RAM or bootable USB? Try alternative stress tests like prime95 large FFTs (RAM) but consider testing the CPU as well—smaller FFTs are mainly a cooling check, not stability. If stress tests succeed, your OS is likely broken and you should reinstall it; otherwise, storage might be the issue.

This desktop is equipped with sleep functionality. Hibernate and Pagefile settings should be turned off as well. Intel claims the CPU can handle up to 2400MHz RAM at its maximum capacity. Have you run a Memtest on this machine? It requires eight passes during sleep mode.

Windows experiences sleep problems, so unless you require it, it’s best to skip it. Ensure fast startup is turned off, as it may lead to issues. You might want to keep hibernate enabled if you need it for power outages, and disable the pagefile. Although a hardware fault is possible, I suspect a software or driver problem is more likely.
