Hello, your setup includes a 7-series Intel i7 with an i9-11900K and a Z170X graphics card. You installed a 2080 Super but received error code 99. Removing the GPU still allows the system to boot normally. The GPU functions correctly. Could you clarify if the error code relates to the GPU itself or another component?

Disconnect CMOS by taking out the battery and then replacing it with a fresh one—use a CR2032 battery. This method is typical.

I've swapped out the battery and cleared the CMOS. When the GPU is connected, I'm stuck on the gigabyte startup screen with error code 99, and the keyboard isn't responding properly. Some videos mentioned an IO problem that got resolved by unplugging USB hubs. However, since nothing is connected to my PC, it looks like the GPU itself might be the issue, even though it seems to function correctly otherwise.

I noticed someone mentioning that some GPUs require a BIOS update following driver updates. Nice to hear!
