Error 5624 and similar issues in Modern Warfare 2019
For more than eight months, Modern Warfare 2019 has been difficult to play. Occasionally it works for a few hours or even a full day. The main problem is that the game keeps crashing with a "Dev Error." Previously I received 6068 errors, but now it’s mostly 5624 and 5761. I’ve tried almost every fix: reinstalling drivers, older versions, resetting Windows twice, adjusting CPU priority in Task Manager, using "-d3d11" in the command line, enabling/disabling XMP in BIOS, resetting BIOS settings multiple times, contacting support who only suggested the steps I already tried, reinstalling the game twice (over 200GB), reinstalling DirectX from Microsoft, and ensuring my drivers are up to date. I’m not sure if it’s a system issue or if the developers can’t resolve it. This game was on sale for $60, but I haven’t received much value. Other people are facing the same issue, so I’d like to help if a solution exists. Please let me know if this relates to my setup or if the developers are struggling. Thank you.
Do you have the RTX graphics card activated? If yes, try turning it off, as that resolved the issue for me. Since I purchased the game just yesterday, I returned it today. I don’t want to disable any game features just to make it work, particularly with a 2080ti model.
I've also tested with RTX turned on and off, but it didn't make a difference.
I've tried running my system with it turned on and off and pretty much no difference, at this point I've just uninstalled it since I cbf wasting my time trying to fix something I can't
I also faced identical problems with the same Disc read error messages. ModernWarfare.exe encountered several issues including DEV ERROR 5624, DEV ERROR 5763, DEV ERROR 6068 and others. I took these steps: reinstalled the game on various SSDs, completed a full Windows installation, removed XMP settings, adjusted graphics options, turned off RTX, disabled V-Sync in NVIDIA Control Panel, switched to a standard 16:9 monitor, and used different displays. Also, I reached out to support but didn’t get a reply. My system specs are: Intel Core i5 7500 (4x 3.4GHz), 8GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2400, 500W power supply, Pure Power 10 CM modular 80+ Silver SSD with a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo.
Approximately two months ago I discovered the issue was linked to a faulty RAM module. Although I haven’t identified the exact cause, after checking multiple sticks, one proved problematic for most games. Once I replaced it, my COD functioned perfectly, though with noticeably reduced performance. I also own Corsair Vengeance, so that might be another option to consider.
I recently purchased new RAM 2x 8GB Vengeance RGB Pro—the only one in my local store. The first time I could play for about an hour without any crashes or freezes was a big relief. Thanks! It seems that after installing the new RAM, I had to log in to several services again. Also, my ASUS ThunderboldEX3 card stopped working, which is quite surprising.
