Error 23 in Macrium Reflect indicates bad sectors detected by Crystal Disk Info and HD Sentinel.
Hey there, curious one. I'm trying to replicate an old HDD setup on an SSD using Macrium Reflect, but I'm running into some hiccups on one of the four systems. I keep seeing error codes—sometimes 0, sometimes 9, and occasionally 23 in the main C partition. Everyone says it's because bad sectors, but both Crystal Disk Info and HD Sentinel report perfect disk health with no smart errors. The chkdsk /r command just doesn't solve the problem, even after three tries. Got any thoughts on what might be causing this? I've used the same steps on three other identical machines without any issues.
The check didn't proceed and no crystal disk details from the HD Sentinel were detected during its scan. Are you wondering if HD Tuner is checking differently than the previous two?
HD Tune evaluates each area individually, verifying performance. Green means fine, yellow indicates moderate delay, and red signals serious issues.
Disable ransomware defense in Windows Security. Also, turn off tamper protection prior to attempting a disk clone.
