I feel so special now… Just bought my first game through Epic …. Operencía … some kind of wet dream to people who had fun playing dungeon crawlers in '96
Who else did join Epic already and why??
I just thought: "heck, why the hell not… that Jupiter stuff that mixes city building with tactical ship combat seems interesting too,
on paper it combines 2 of my favorite PC pursuits so yeah…"

Only one link appears to be relevant, which is this thread. It feels strange.

The ads are becoming more intelligent... I believe so?

Did I just understand? They provided a free puzzle game, seemingly adapted from a VR setting, which I discarded quickly for two reasons.
1
The whining noise on my GTX persisted even after confirming vertical sync, which reduced the FPS from 300 to 60—though it did drop slightly.
2
There was a brief flash of memory about someone named EPIC visiting Steam… They won’t guess how clever this person really is!

I totally get that perspective, though I wouldn’t say it’s the only one. If ads seem made up by kids following the rules, then it’s hard to ignore that point. People who understand themselves better tend to be a bit safer in this regard.

the game looks more graphic-intensive than anticipated! Tomorrow it will be xmp on and possibly a 700 mhz clock oc for the 1060 3gb... The experience is still below ideal even when fps stays between 40 and 60 fps at high settings (the highest), with a noticeable drop in draw rates compared to free look speed.

Operencia seems intriguing but there are aspects I'd rather avoid. Particularly the sorting part. I joined Epic several months back just for the free games each month. If any paid titles become more affordable over time, I'll definitely grab the ones I've been considering. Operencia in particular.

You need to tweak the ending of Operencía to an "i" for better results. Copying it verbatim has an "i" at the end. Or just share bits of info that won't interest anyone.

Put Shadows at Medium, Anti-Aliasing at Medium (1080p), Low (1440p) or Off (4K), Post-Processing at Medium (possibly Low), FOV at 80/90 and Motion Blur at Off. This should noticeably boost your FPS (probably) without much loss in quality.
