Because Ethernet isn't working, I'm switching to Wi-Fi. Since I don't have a dedicated card, I'm using my phone's tethering option. It sometimes works well but often drops, causing disconnections. Can there be a way to improve the stability of tethering? Also, the router is close enough that running Ethernet isn't allowed inside the house. I'm currently using 5G for tethering via USB.

Mostly you’ve finished the task. If any area in your home has stronger signal than others, you could position your phone nearer to that spot.

I'll try adjusting my phone's position to see if it makes a difference. Appreciate your feedback.

It seems the phone is functioning as a USB WiFi adapter rather than connecting to the cellular network. The expected result would be a proper WiFi connection. Based on my observations, tethering often drops after inactivity and isn’t meant for this purpose, so your experience might differ. Although technically possible, there’s limited ability to diagnose why it’s unstable.

It seems like you were trying to say something but got cut off. Could you clarify what you meant?

It might be useful to check for any apps on your phone that require heavy CPU usage, since this could significantly reduce performance.
