Ensures data consistency continuously
I've been using ZZZ nonstop. The issue is that each launch pulls in around 15MB and then scans all the game files. It's confusing why this happens. Anyone have a solution or workaround?
Looking at those Reddit comments, most responses mention needing to boot up again.
It's common in every gacha game to act like an anti-cheat system. It ensures players have paid for their content and prevents access to unpaid games.
Happens every time I open the game. It always takes some time either loading or checking(Have SD Gen 2). Takes around 2-3 mins.
I thought so, but then the verification should only apply to character or currency files, not all files. Also, the verification needs to be server-side, comparing data in the game instance with the server data. What bothers me is that I have an HDD and it takes at least 15 minutes from choosing to play until logging in.
I didn't create ZZZ, so I can't confirm what is verified or not—probably everything. From materials to missions, drop rate chances for items and gear. I question if all content is built by the server, as that would waste data and hurt performance with millions of players. It's the current year. Everyone should use SSDs now. We're reaching a stage where many games can't run on HDDs because they're too slow. My PC checks integrity in just a few seconds after logging in. Just move the game to an SSD and it'll be fine.
It runs on a 7200 rpm WD blue HDD. Loading takes about five minutes and it freezes or stutters a lot when loading to the 404 screen. Moved it to my M.2 boot drive and the stuttering stopped, though the load time remains near five minutes. Also, I'm using the Hoyo launcher.
