It is configured for FAT32. It's the sole USB drive I own, a 32 GB model; initially it flashes with a light, then it remains active after a few seconds.

Sure, I updated it to use fat32 and deleted everything. The 16 GB storage should work fine.

Yes, 16 would be suitable. The same capacity problem occurred with one of my customers' motherboards. I used 2.0 8 gigabytes immediately. When you obtain the drive format again in FAT32 and then proceed to flash, if all steps fail, try this BIOS version for download.

Check the latest bios I linked; if it lights up, the chip is receiving data. It might help, give it a try using the USB you have.
