Originally shared on OPNSense discussions but received no responses, seeking community insights. I own a Fitlet2 PC (https://fit-iot.com/web/products/fitlet2/) that has operated smoothly with OPNSense for years. After upgrading my home internet to 1.2Gbps via Comcast, I aimed to leverage increased bandwidth. Installed the SFP+ add-in board for the Fitlet and confirmed it appears in settings as an available interface. I connected a 10G Tek SFP+ adapter using a RJ45 cable, but OPNSense isn’t assigning an IP address to that port. My networking expertise doesn’t cover diagnosing whether the issue lies with OPNSense, the SFP+ interface, or the card itself. Any guidance would help me resolve this and utilize the SFP+ for extra throughput. Screenshots attached: regular 1000baseT LAN interface and the new SFP+ setup.
