Ensure internet access only when the Speed and Duplex configuration is configured at 10 Mbps with full duplex.
I can't access the internet unless my Speed and Duplex settings are configured for 10 Mbps full duplex. My connection is only 200 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up, which usually restricts performance. I've tested with other devices and cables, but I still get the full speed. Since this is my main work device, I need to resolve this issue quickly. Any suggestions on what might be causing the problem?
The NIC doesn't support anything more than 10mpbs? What device is this? How old is it?
The issue isn't with your motherboard's capabilities. It seems you lost internet access because you were limited to a very low speed—only 10Mbps full duplex. You’ll need to adjust your settings or contact your internet service provider to resolve this.
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
Memory: 16GB DDR3 RAM kit from Hyper X
Storage: 1TB HDD from WD + 256GB SAMSUNG EVO 860 GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
Motherboard: GA-H81M-D2V, PSU: Corsair vs650
You might want to check your LAN driver on the motherboard. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-...driver-lan Have you looked for any unusual BIOS settings? I suggest resetting it back to its original state first.
Don't rely on my advice, my good sir. What path should I take next?
Using another OS on the same hardware that functions means the problem lies with your current operating system, not the device itself. If it doesn’t work anymore, the issue is likely hardware-related.
