Ultra low latency 2xmsAAA plus TXAA works well. You can push even further, except for the highest AA with VRAM limits? That sounds tricky. 8xmsAA seems unnecessary at 1440p.

He mentioned his 6300 and 270x models can handle it. Also, DSR appears to be at the highest settings. Nvidia is using DSR on my machine.

That's not possible. (6300/270x) And a 970 is close enough considering we're aiming for a more general Ultra/VeryHigh tier. You might try boosting AA and using very long shadows, but I'd still rate it as maximum. DSR is reducing resolution, which feels unfair in this context.

Have you saved the latest AMD driver? Your CPU model is FX 8320. You’re experiencing around 30 FPS in the city and as low as 18. After installing the Amd 15.4 driver, everything seems fixed, but sometimes it drops to 40. I’ve checked the support page for updates.

You don't have to shoot at 60 fps in GTA, honestly. At 40-45 fps it runs smoothly, which is what I usually target. In this situation it wasn't needed.

Intense settings require detailed textures, reflections, post-production effects, and strong shadows. For 60fps, use FXAA only for AA; it maintains performance without sacrificing quality. Grass demands significant resources and usually reduces frame rate noticeably unless you increase settings. Reflections are particularly taxing in certain scenes. MSAA for reflections adds minimal overhead. I opt for x2, achieving nearly no frame loss while improving visuals. Post effects are demanding, especially at high or ultra levels, but adjusting shadows can help boost FPS slightly. Results vary by scene—forest areas often show the most noticeable improvements.

For the FX CPUs you can achieve smooth performance at 60fps after some adjustments. My friend uses a 8320@stock/gtx 960 and enjoys consistent frame rates with great visuals. Disable MSAA, set distance scaling to 75%, and turn off VSync. This CPU performs well without heavy tweaks—just lower the texture quality slightly for his model. These processors aren’t as problematic as they seem; I run a [email protected] on ultra with AA disabled and distance scaling at 75% for flawless GTA V gameplay. Reset default video settings, enable distance scaling to 75%, turn off VSync, and disable MSAA.

I handle everything at full power. On my FX panel I disable advanced Graphix when it's active, as it usually drops FPS significantly.
