I recently acquired NFS Underground from a thrift shop for just €0.50. The main problem is it doesn’t function on Windows 10, even when using compatibility mode. When I click it, after about three seconds a confirmation screen appears asking if the program ran properly. I also checked XP and Windows 98 compatibility settings, but nothing worked.

Looks like it isn't compatible with Windows 10 based on several reports. It might work better on an older system like Windows XP or 7.

Do you have an outdated computer nearby? If not, I can offer it to you for free if you collect it in the Rotterdam area. Consider using a virtual machine first—it might be a good idea.

Check official sources for current licensing options. It’s possible the product supports older systems, but legal access usually requires valid purchase or subscription.

You install Windows 7 in a virtual machine and then switch to XP mode, which is completely acceptable.

IDE drives are meant to access the thrift shop. A 40gbs price won’t exceed three euros. Install Windows XP and skip activation—it’ll run for 30 days. Beyond that you’ll need to activate, though there might be an issue with that. Or is it okay to crack Windows 98? You can locate a valid Windows 98 key on Google in about fifteen seconds.
