I own a brand new machine and it’s having problems with all the fans failing to shut down when I power it off. The monitor turns off, but the CPU, GPU, and case fans remain active unless I press and hold the power button. Key details: specs include Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2, Asus P8H67-M Pro, 12GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 1060, 256GB SSD, and 1TB HDD. I’ve tried several fixes: changed motherboard, swapped power supplies, reinstalled Windows, installed Intel Management Engine, updated drivers, and reset BIOS. Even trying a different CPU hasn’t resolved the issue.

It might be the fans or it could be the server CPU being used.

It's a common ASUS H67 motherboard. I also used a H61 and received the same result.

It turned out the bios battery was the issue. Swapping it fixed everything.
