The need sparks creation. Honestly, if things were this tough, I’d just tie a rope to the ceiling using a basic pulley. Things come into place when you need them, and disappear when you don’t.

I typically place the keyboard near my lap while having a pillow with an aluminium mouse pad beside me. If you're comfortable, the Xbox 360 works well too—even if the game doesn't support it directly, you can map the controls and use it on a desktop as a mouse.

I play in my lounge with the keyboard resting on my lap and the mouse held in a magazine for FPS, or a Logitech controller for most other titles. Perfect!

I actually discovered two of these small tables—one for the keyboard and one for the mouse—but feel free to keep sharing ideas for others who prefer gaming from the couch.
