You might consider using a padded food tray or placing a cushion beneath a wooden plank. If your chair features arms, you could use a flat piece of wood—perhaps a desk surface—that’s large enough to lay on them.

Still, if you sit in the chair, the keyboard will slide and the mouse won’t work well. You’d likely enjoy yourself more without it.
