Hey everyone! It's been a while since I updated hardware on a machine without starting from zero. I'm curious—does swapping out the MBR and CPU and just reinserting the HDDs work? Will Windows run fine, or does a fresh install seem necessary now? Thanks!

It wasn't included with the device, I added it myself. I don't recall any installation details, so it might be an OEM product (I suspect). Since I assembled the hardware and set up Windows, that's likely the case.

For a full transition to another system or a distinct motherboard model, you’ll probably need to reinstall Windows.
