You can upgrade your CPU and motherboard without needing to reformat the hard drive. The boot drive is an M.2-2280 NVMe SSD, so it should work with your new setup.

Personally I would do a clean install, when you change mobo and cpu there will be different drivers for chipset etc which can give you some stability issues. It will probably work fine but there could be performance repercussions. Funny enough changing between nvidia and amd gpu's without running ddu is worse, but same sort of concern
