I could attempt 3700x for 2500 TL, but it would leave me with 1000, forcing a low-end graphics card and 8 GB of RAM. The 8-core 16 TFLOPs is really appealing, so perhaps I should go with 2700x. I’m not very familiar with clock speeds for older Ryzen models, but I think as long as the RAM reaches around 3000 MHz, it should be fine. 2700x costs 1600 TL, which gives more room for a cooler, better MMO, or more RAM. 2700x isn’t really available; the cheapest I found is 2500 TL, same as 3700x.
For RAM with Zen and Where, I suggest 3200 or higher if possible.
Ensure you get at least 16GB RAM. The 2700X reaches a peak frequency of 4350MHz. Based on temperatures, core boosts automatically adjust to around 3.9GHz. Performance per instruction might be about 10% slower than the 3700X under certain workloads. Review the motherboard specifications to confirm compatibility with this model.
Technically the trident z offers the best performance, but the ripjaws V provides a solid budget option. I just noticed this is single channel—do you intend to purchase an additional stick if you chose these 1x8 gig kits? Edited May 23, 2020 by TofuHaroto
