Noted these build prompts belong to a different section. Thanks, everyone. We’re considering a switch because our current setup feels outdated. We’re running an AMD A8 7650K, which explains the slowdowns. At home we have a Ryzen 5 2600 that handles everything smoothly, so performance-wise it should be fine. Budget matters too—we don’t want to overspend. I also don’t want noisy USB connections, so we shouldn’t pick the cheapest board right away. Since we’re still using DDR3, an upgrade might be necessary, especially for DDR3-Support boards. I’m thinking about the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a G.Skill Aegis DIMM kit (32GB DDR4-3200). What are your thoughts? Are there cheaper options that still meet our needs? I’d say we’re okay with the RAM cost, maybe trim it a bit. We need 32GB for all our plugins, but high clock speeds aren’t essential. A quiet GPU is important—we don’t use it for video editing or gaming. The PSU isn’t a concern right now, and since we won’t need a powerful graphics card, that shouldn’t be an issue. Audio quality isn’t a priority because we’re not using any audio gear. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
