Enhancing my setup
Enhancing my setup
Hi, I'm setting up this configuration: ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F for gaming, paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processor. I'm using an RTX3070 and aiming for higher frame rates, but I'm not seeing the performance I expect. I'm considering a upgrade path toward 12th generation Intel, possibly adding an AMD 5800X and some new RAM. I'm planning to install Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200mhz, two 16GB modules to fill all slots. Looking ahead, I intend to go all white and already have a white PSU, cables, a Corsair Capellix 360 AIO, and a Lian Li unifan. What are your thoughts? Should I save for the 12th gen or even jump to the 13th? Or could a current upgrade with a 5800X and new RAM deliver good results now? Also, I'm building the whole setup myself, including monitors and other components.
Opt for the Ryzen 5600(x) since they’re available at a discount; it doesn’t limit you to the 3070 and offers great value. Upgrading your GPU later can be considered for a newer setup.
Thanks for your response. It seems the 5600X isn't currently on sale in my area, and I'm based in Norway. That means I can't browse American or Canadian sites. Still, it's cheaper there anyway. Might be worth considering. Would it help your FPS counter? I'm a bit tech-savvy but haven't kept up with the hardware scene lately.
