Hello everyone, I'm planning to upgrade my Ryzen 3600X to either the 5700X3D or 5800X3D. This is my first time upgrading a CPU, and I've always upgraded by moving to the next socket that needed a new MOBO in the past. Apart from updating the BIOS to support it, is this just a straightforward swap? Should I reinstall Windows? Do I need to uninstall any drivers beforehand? Thanks in advance!

1.) Ensure BIOS is updated prior to exchanging CPUs.
2.) Clear CMOS following the CPU swap, then adjust your XMP/DOCP settings—no need to reinstall Windows. You might also consider reinstalling chipset drivers, though it’s probably not essential.

It restarts itself when a new CPU is installed and ensure ReBAR is activated.
