Hey, your PC is running slower and you're experiencing lag in games you play. You're considering upgrading the CPU and motherboard, with a budget of $500. You mainly play League of Legends, Apex Legends, Titanfall 2, Rocket League, and CS GO. You'd like to ensure you can handle upcoming games.

It's a mess. The power isn't sufficient—around 400W is ideal, as shown by the total output of the 12V cables. The Corsair CXF-550 is a solid choice and can be found at PCPartPicker. RGB functionality can be turned off if needed.

Check out the build from PCPartPicker and see how it turned out. Since this is your first build, it's normal to have some questions—just take it step by step and test things out.

If you don’t have any objections, this upgrade will boost performance while saving money. I only modified the RAM CPU and motherboard. The 3600 includes a decent cooler, and those older 10th gen i5s are quite outdated by current standards. This setup appears more cost-effective compared to the 3600 model. Parts are sourced from reputable retailers with competitive pricing. Overall value is enhanced through smart purchasing decisions.
